Cops can ALWAYS find a reason to bust you. But it is usually possession that is illegal, not smoking or being high, unless you are driving a vehicle. But you might get ticketed for public intoxication or loitering. The laws vary from state to state and city to city so you have to know what the local laws are.
Also be aware that depending on the law, having even a clean pipe or other paraphernalia can be a crime. |

A lot of people here don't know what they're talking about.
1. Being intoxicated (by any type of drugs, alcohol) in a public place is illegal. You could get cited for public intoxication, which if it's your first violation, will probably be a hefty fine.
2. If you had weed in your possession, you would be fined with public intoxication and possession of illegal substances.
See, those are two DIFFERENT crimes.
Being that you're a juvenile, your parents will have to pay the fines.
That, or they to jail eventually.
Too bad you couldn't be my child, I would smack you so badly it the whole Northern Hemisphere would hear your screams. |
