What is law about safeguarding children.?

i have looked on the internet for ages and cannot find the law governing it...please help.

by safeguarding i mean child protection.

I'm a lil confused as to what you mean exactly by safeguarding children.

But childrens rights are covered by the 'Children Act 1989'

Check the website of your state's child protective services or department of social services. There are criminal charges called "failure to protect" and "child endangerment" that can apply to a person who serves as a caregiver for a child. Failure to protect applies more towards a person who knows that abuse or neglect is going on with a child that they come into contact with but does nothing to alert authorities or take the child out of that situation. For example, a wife who is a decent mother but knows that her boyfriend or husband is beating her child and continues to live in the home with the abuser and the child. Child endangerment applies to hazardous living environments and neglectful supervision. There is also a term called "duty to warn" that applies to people in positions such as teachers and doctors or nurses. If they see suspicious evidence that a child is being abused or neglected, they are legally obligated to report their suspicions to authorities.
