it seems social workers in mental health settings don't look out for one another instead they will report or go along with the management I believe this reflects non loyalty to their profession.

And what about loyalty to the client?

I have worked with a few SWs in my time. Some actually let their client down because they are not up to the job. So....who is important? The mis-named professional...or his/her client?

It is a show of integrity that a poor performance in respect of a client is reported so that client ...especially with mental health issues...gets better help.
