What is the effect of a warning on a restraining order?

A best friend went to her boyfriends office to try to invite him after work to have coffee and to be able to talk since they are going through a rift and not talking. My friend did not force herself in anyway but politely asked if they could just talk. She and her boyfriend has been going on for 10 yrs. She has sent him to school so he can be what he is now with a good job and a profession which without my girlfriends help, he would have never made it on his own. But what he does is immediatley freak out when he saw her. Threatened to call the cops if he ever saw her again in the office. This is the first time my friend made an attempt to talk him. My friend was devastated but we left. I was in shock this guy would act like this after what my friend has done for him this was no excuse. Later on that night, cops came over to my friends house and although the cops said my friend was not in trouble and just want to talk to her that her boyfriend said that he no longer wants her in his life and no restraining order has been filed and only a warning. My question: My friend has a very good career in the government, will this be on her record? Thank you so much for your answers. My friend is very heartbroken but grateful that it was as well a blessing that this guy showed his true character.

There should be no effect of a warning. Just take heed and respect that it was a warning and stay away from the person that has put in place. They carry a lot of weight in court and are almost always charged against.

Respect the fact that the person putting the order place wants nothing to do with you any more and move on.
