I recently started working at an child care center and yesterday i was on my break and the infants were crying a parent complianed and the director tried to put it all on me..so who do i contact to get staement papers?

Instead of filing papers, maybe check with the director, or someone who has been there quite some time. Remind them you just started working there, and you wouldn't want that situation to happen again. Put it on them, and ask them what they would like you to do next time you are on break, or not on break, and they children are upset again. What would they want you to do? How would they take care of the situation? Then, you are taking the responsibility, because you do work there, doesn't matter if you were on break. And, you are looking for answers, to be a better employee. Be Pro-Active not Re-Active. If you like working with the children, take it as a learning experience. The director may not have all the facts, and took it out on you, not fair, but it happens. Good Luck! |

Whatever route you take you will have to PROVE that was the reason for the hours being cut instead of a financial decision. THAT will be hard in this conomy. |

That really depends on state law and whatever contract you signed when you began your employment. Look at your contract and see if they are obligated to give a reason for cutting your hours. |
