Legally i have no clue in Turkey. But your brain has not fully developed til age 21 and drinking before development can cause problems in your future, and you child's if you planning on having one. I would wait for health's sake.

Belle, Turkey is a 'secular' state, where most of the population are moslems. Not a moslem country. There are pubs and bars everywhere, and they seem to have a very relaxed attitude to young teens drinking alcohol.
Do you really think it would be such a popular holiday destination for British teenagers if booze was illegal ?

When I was 19 years in 1974 old, I lived in Istanbul for 12 months and the drinking age for beer was 18. I doubt they lowered it since then. By the way Turkey has a lot more to offer than lager, buy onyx and leather products from lamb. They are cheap.

Turkey is under EU regs so its 18 BUUUT like many countries in Europe they serve you from when your about 14 in a lot of places!

it's 16 in turkey so you are in luck. Seems about average for europe but i would have thought it would be higher with all the muslims living in turkey.

EDIT: sorry i should say you have to be 18 to buy it but 16 to drink
