My friend was driving his car and unfortunately had an accident involving 4 cars. All the cars were damaged beyond repairs. My friend who was alone in his car and few other people from the other cars sustained minor injuries, while 3 other persons were rushed to the hospital. The case of a particular guy (about 50 years old) among them with a broken leg looked critical. From polices' assessment of the accident scene, my friend was suspected to be the cause of the accident. He was detained immediately, but later released on bail. Sadly, about a week after the accident, the man who had a broken limb died in the hospital. The problem now is that my friend had been re-arrested and being detained at the police station. The family of the deceased have burried the cops and are not ready to talk. The police said they will charge my friend to court for manslaughter next week. Please, can someone tell me the implications of these in the eyes of the law? I think my friend is being held unlawfully because he never planned or prayed for the accident.
