What is the punishment for lying to an airline about a passengers age to get in on a special.?

I know this is fraud but a buddy of mine is doin so and i was wondering what punishment he would recieve if caught?

The same kind of punishment you would get for lying at the movie theater about the age of his son.

I don't see a big deal unless he counterfeit official documents like Birth Certificate or Driver's Permit. Most likely the airline will kick him out or send him a new bill, or ban him from flying, but I don't see them going to Court over a few bucks, and for sure they know that some people do that and to be honest many manager have the philosophy of "You can do it as long as I don't catch you on the lie".

But on the other side, with all the security paranoia this could means a permanent ban or to be included on some "black list", or in the worst case scenario a visit from the "men in black" to check his story.

He would probably just get kicked off of the plane, and told not to fly with that airline again.

when I was younger I use to fly alone all the time -- when I got past the special care age my parents would lie so I would receive care
