You didnt hit and run, which is a very good thing. There really is no punishment for this kind of thing - the insurance will cover the damages, but it might be in your best interest to deal with this issue without bringing the insurance company into it. Repairing a minor scratch on the persons car will not be very expensive, however since you are a new driver and youre probably young, an accident can make your insurance premium go up a lot, and youre going to end up paying a lot more than if you just paid for the damages out of pocket.

Dont stress out.

if it was a minor scratch, offer to pay to have it fixed. keep the insurance company out if you can to avoid it being on your record and paying a higher premium. a minor scratch shouldnt cost to much to get fixed.

your insurance will pay for the damage. however,. not thing bad will happen to you, unless money is a priority for u, because u are going to pay more for ur insurance.

legal lover :)
Your insurance company will pay for the damage. The premium may go up.
