What is your opinion on marijuana becoming legal?

Wow! It's kinda like getting in touch with your inner self and feeling the total sense of cosmic oneness. It has a lot to do with knowing what bag your head's in man. You know what I mean?

It doesn't sound like a very sensible idea to me. However the effects of using it in the wrong way are simular to that of Alcohol in the way that you would get bad after effects. Howeve if you drink alcohol sensibly it is great, simularly to if you use marijuana for what it is meant for there will be no problems.

I think it should be legalized. It does not force you onto harder stuff. It is less harmful then alcohol. We're not seriously enforcing drug laws anyway. In other countries they would imprison a drug dealer forever or shoot him. Here , we just slap them on the wrist and let them go again. We also make a lot of money off the drugs coming in from Mexico. The drug trafficking in this country is very interwoven with our government and economy.

If you look at any criminological journal from the last ten years, the prevailing view is that the war on drugs is well and truly over, and that the drugs won. There is simply no reason for prohibition. It does not help. Indeed it either causes or exacerbates almost all of the problems associated with drugs. Yet for some incomprehensible reason, you still have a large section of the population supporting prohibition, or even arguing for tougher drug laws, with no justification beyond the perfectly uncontroversial fact that drugs are bad for you. Of course drugs are dangerous, including cannabis. But how does prohibition help that? If someone wants to use it, they will. You're proof of that, are you not?

It should stay illegal. Can you imagine how rampant marijuana use would be? I would not the person making my food at a restaurant, the person driving the taxi I am riding in, or the doctor treating me, if just beforehand, that person was getting high.

I think it should be legal because yes it is better than cigs and alcohol BUT the government cannot control it because of how easy it is to grow it in your own home. Thus they can't tax it so they're not going to legalize it.

My good friend was in a car crash and passed away by being hit from a driver who was high.

No one should have to go through how much pain I've undergone from this experience. Could this have happened from any other drug? Yes, but imagine what the initial reaction to the allowance of marijuana would be in America. Imagine the amount of accidents and problems to occur.

We shouldn't stop at Marijuana, all drugs must be legalized to remove the profit rom the black market and stop funding cartels,terrorists, and to restore Americans civil liberties.
