I am totally for the research. I wish they could still be testing the stem cells that are your own from bone marrow. In Ann Arbor Mi. they injected this in to a nail gun damaged heart (story in Readers Digest) to grow new muscle to repare the damage. It worked. I have hypertrophied cardiomyopathy and the idea of reparing my own heart with my own cells for new muscle growth, was a chance for me. Now thanks to our leaders, that is slim to none. |

It's all good. |

As long as they use only embryos that would otherwise be discarded then I'm all for it! |

Stupid, and Bush was awesome for vetoing it! |

I agre w/President Bush as I do not believe that they should be doing it b/c it is messing with lives. |

It's a great advancement in science. |

Fine, given the narrow window they're allowed to operate in. These things are not yet lives, they only have the potential to become lives. I'm happy so long as it stays that way, which it will. No one will allow the progression into using older embryos.
And I'm more than happy about any potential results and the advancement of knowledge. |

I think it would be great and I understand why so many people are pushing for it. It could potentially save a lot of lives.
I just wish there was another method. I'm still not comfortable with the idea of what we're doing to get those results. |

I'm in favor of it. It's the only research that shows any real promise for the lasting treatment of Parkinson's disease, spinal injuries, and other conditions that would otherwise be incurable or untreatable. Every in vitro fertilization attempt produces extra fertilized eggs that would otherwise be discarded, so why not use them if they can help people? |

It is helpful. And yes fetuses have many other uses. Their main use is to be developed into baby's. However some never make it that far and should not be wasted. |

I am for this procedure. We should help the living, and not put so much emphasis on potential life. |

It's all good and should be done. It is not murder as our president would like to think. It can bring sooooooo much good to the world!
PPL: They are using embryos..........not fetus's. There is a difference. |

I am in favor of it, but instead of getting the stem cells from fetuses, I think we should get them from our Congresspersons (without anesthesia). |

i'm definately for therapeutic cloning (which is pretty much the same thing). i did a speech on it at the state medical competition and won 2nd place. so yeah, i'm all for it. it could save millions of lives just by cloning some cells to form organs, and there is no reason that it should be illegal.
i do not support human reproductive cloning, however. there is no medical use for that. cloning humans will just get us into a lot of trouble. |

If allowed to develop properly, stem cell research will be responsible for saving and prolonging many lives. |

I agree with it but I think we shouldn't grow fetus' for research, I think we should use aborted babies instead of home grow fetus', I mean people are going to get abortions no matter what so we might as well have something good come from them. I am pro-life and I don't agree with abortion but make something good from the bad♥ |
