What law needs to be changed?
Find answers to your legal question.

What law needs to be changed?

In the U.S. we really have some dumb laws like allowing people to be over 90 years old to drive, WITHOUT taking a driving test every year. That's dumb! What law do you think needs to be changed? Or what laws need to be added?

They need to abolish all victimless crimes. The US has 2.5 million people locked up, thats equivalent to every man, woman, and child in Chicago behind bars. That is more than any other country in the world. And it costs $40,000 per inmate per year. Half of the people locked up are in on drug charges, meaning they never actually hurt another person, just themselves. Its stupid, its too expensive, and its wrong.

There aren't as many 90 year old drivers as there are illegal aliens sneaking across the border to birth instant Americans.

The constution needs to be restored, without admenments
and a new law needs to be added, it should be an eye for and eye and everyone else can mind their own F**KING buiesness....
(librel californians this means you)
AND also close all borders.. Get rid of the Illegals.....

Being in this country illegally should be punishable by death same with gangs. That would be a good start.

In California:

Animals are banned from mating publicly within 1,500 feet of a tavern, school, or place of worship.

In my home state of Illinois:

Law forbids eating in a place that is on fire.

It is illegal to give a dog whiskey.

It is forbidden to fish while sitting on a giraffe's neck.

Kites may not be flown within the city limits.

In the Pullman area, it is illegal to drink beer out of a bucket while sitting on the curb.

My favorite: It is legal to protest naked in front of city hall as long as you are under seventeen years of age and have legal permits.

I personally think, if it were up to me, I'd start with drugs. I'd like to "enforce" more laws concerning drug trafficking and selling and use of any and all drugs. Get the dealers and the pushers off the streets and behind bars for, in my opinion ,they are no better than a serial killer. The children in this country are being corrupted by them, deaths and crime can be traced back to the drugs these people have used on their way to the criminal acts they have committed. If we had tougher laws concerning drug screening in job applicants and college bound students and child-rearing, not a one time screen, I mean random screening, I think the use of street drugs would lessen. If laws were tougher for the users then maybe a dominoe effect would take place with the selling, distribution and trafficking of these illigal narcotics and with a drug free country the crime rate would decrease.

it is my own personal opinion that, the "illegal" drug laws in america need some serious revision. particularly, the classification of different substances and especially the mandatory sentencing laws for those convicted of drug charges. i believe that drug use should be de-criminalized. not that i am in favor of such extremes as elementary school children getting high, but rather, when a citizen is of legal age for such things as smoking cigarettes and consuming alcohol, they should also have the right to use other recreational drugs if they so desire to do so, and, provided that, they are not getting high and raising hell and causing problems for others, or breaking laws such as driving under the influence of any of these substances. the fact is, that, since the time of the earliest civilizations, people have been discovering and using various natural growing plants and herbs in a number of ways for the natural treatment of any number of ailments. furthermore, because of the implementation of mandatory sentencing for illegal drug convictions, we have taken away an important part of the role of the judges in our courts and caused such an overload of court cases, as well as, filling the prisons and correctional facilities with persons; who often are very young and thereby deprived of any real possibility of any positive future in life, for the purpose of punishment for violating drug laws and to such an extreme that there exists such overcrowding that, other convicted criminals; such as pedophiles, rapists, and murderers, who are not subject to the mandatory sentencing imposed upon drug offenders, are allowed to serve little if any time for their crimes and released to walk around free, and, who, in fact, are more likely than not to continue to commit more crimes of the same nature. this seems fundamentally flawed and wrong from a moral and ethical standpoint. we seriously need to find some way to give back the power to our court judges to impose sentences upon persons convicted of drug crimes as the judge may deem appropriate according to the indivual cases and facts of the specific crime or crimes committed involving illegal drugs. i believe that most people of fair and sound mind would agree that it is far more eggregious to lock up young people for the better part and most productive periods of their lifetimes because they were caught smoking pot or using cocaine than to allow repeated child molesters to walk the streets free to prey on our children. if we continue to allow mandatory sentencing to be imposed for drug convictions, then it seems only right and fair, not to mention, far more ethical, that, we should be imposing mandatory sentencing for those convicted of the far more immoral, devious, and just plain evil crimes of preying on our children.

I bought a book called "Stupid State Laws", but the most ridiculous one in my opinion is that in New Jersey and Oregon, you are not allowed to pump your own gas.
