What qualifies for wrongful imprisonment?

What qualifies for wrongful imprisonment?

I was arrested for a violation of a law in which one of the subsections clearly exempts members of the military (which I am). Does the time I spent in jail (7 hours) and the fact that my name and picture have already been made public via the judicial system's decision to post the booking information online justify a wrongful imprisonment/arrest suit?
Additional Details
I was also suspended indefinitely from my school because of this arrest.

Not in my opinion, I'd ask your legal officer

Seven hours in jail, you were in jail not in prison, does not constitute wrongful imprisonment.
Edit: I hate how everybody wants to sue to get there money. What happened to hard work?
Double Edit: What crime are you immune too because you serve in the military? Were you water boarding someone? I have never heard of someone being exempt from a law because they were in the service. To me it sounds like you messed up and now you want someone else to take responsibility for your actions.

:)
Once you are arrested, they are able to make public the booking information anytime after.

Honestly, I dunno but I would really look into it by contacting a lawyer. Actually I think they can hold you for X amount of hours. But seriously look into it.

I think it is false imprisonment.
You need a lawyer who specializes in military statutes.
You may even be able to counter-sue for a decent chunk of change.

Mike
I believe so, I would contact a lawyer.
