I have a court date set for May 1st. As of now, April 18th no judge or specific date or time has been set. If its not set on or before May 1st, what do I need to do? I haven't been in a situation like this before.

How did you get the May 1st court date? Who gave it to you? If you have a bondsman, ask them. If you have an attorney, ask them. If you don't have either one, then contact either the county or district clerk in your county to see if they can shed more detail for you. Don't worry, everything will work out and you will find out what you need in time. But most importantly don't take the attitude that "since no one contacted me, it must have been dismissed," because I have seen many clients with that attitude get in worse trouble. If you can afford it, hir e a competent attorney. |
