Got caught for shoplifting. Tomorrow is my court date. What kind of stuff will the Judge ask me? What should I say and do. This was my first offense and last.
I am 19 years.

It depends on where you are going to court (county, state) and what the value was of what you stole or at least tried to steal. It also depends on the judge.
Face it, you're an adult now and you should know better.
But, if this is your first criminal offense then you will most likely get probation.
But do like the other person here said... dress nicely, talk calm and politely.
Don't ever make excuses like "I did it because my friends dared me" or "I needed it to feed my baby". Excuses get you nowhere in life and get you even less than nowhere in court. Just own up, man up and shut up. If asked why you did it just tell the judge that you have no excuses, that you even stymie yourself sometimes and that you have talked to the Pastor at your church about it and that you are working with him on this horrible moment in your life.
And then apologize to the store where you shoplifted for stealing the item(s), apologize to your family and friends for letting them down and apologize to the court for wasting their time. |

Definitely get a lawyer. It's not just a simple charge. There's a lot more involved in this. Ask for a public defender tomorrow. |
