My husband has his pretrial on the 1st and I want to know what to expect. What happens at pretrials? Why has the prosecuting attorney changed? There first was a fat chick, then it was switched to a skinny chick, and now its a guy. Whats going on? They supposedly did an investigation a month before they arrested him but the last court date was suppose to be the pretrial but was rescheduled because both parties needed more time to investigate. I know that my husbands investigator wanted to talk to a "victim" but they never called her back. I dont have a number for my husbands public defender. There is no evidence just he/she said stuff but I heard that even without evidence he could still be convicted. I talked to my husbands appointed psych doc and at the last court hearing that was rescheduled my husbands attorney told me that it helped a lot. Will this be brought up at the pretrial?

All depends on what he's being charged for, but most likely they judging the severity of the crime (from my perspective). It could all be a case of whether the case is being dropped or whether they want to keep it, you have to remember that their are millions of trials and pretrials waiting so if yours is something like hitting a guys car then clearly they are going to put the convicted murderer, child rapist before yours so I think you should just wait it out, of course we don't know what crime he committed so I can't tell you specifically but hey just wait it out and everything should be fine. |
