What would be a good, solid reason to ban Tasers?
|
I am not looking for opinions, I just want a good, solid reason to ban tasers for the research essay that i am writing. I already have 2 out of the three I need. I have the fact that they cause adverse health effects and sometimes they are used to torture people. If anyone can help me, I would be very grateful. Again, I am NOT looking for opinions, I just need a solid reason to ban tasers for my research paper.

Because bullets are much more effective at stopping someone. More people die from being shot by police than being tasered. |

They kill many more people than Taser says. Tasers have been proven in real use that they are not a non-lethal weapon. |

there are no good solid reasons, the ones you already have are ridiculous |

People, INNOCENT people have DIED. Here is a link with news stores about deaths and abuse:
http://www.nomoretasers.com/
Too many police use a taser as punishment or a coercive device on unarmed, non-threat individuals, some of whom died as a direct result. I can see using one on someone who IS a threat. Probably the worst case of abuse and death I have heard about can be found here, a polish immigrant who died at the Vancouver BC airport in Canada October 15th, 2007:

There are ZERO Valid reasons to ban tasers. They are like any other tool and can be misused in some hands |
