The only thing i have on my record is an informal probation for a wet reckless 3 years ago. but that is over in august.. i also live with my brother who is a felon. I am a former marine.

There are many things which can disqualify a person from owning a firearm, but a prior driving offense (not a felony) is not one of them. However, you could be causing problems for your brother if you have a firearm in the residence, since he is prohibited from possessing such a weapon, even if you are also possessing it (joint posssession is legally possible). If you do have one, make sure it is not kept in any area accessible to him, and preferably locked up by means making it completely inaccessible to him. |
