marijuana almost has no punishment these days as long as it is a small amount. I am a police officer and I can tell you it is worse where i'm from for a minor to be drunk then be caught with marijuana. The worst would be a petty misdemeanor for having a small amount of marijuana.

it all depends on the state and the amount of pot in your possession. In most states a small amount is a misdemeanor and the probability of jail time would be dependent upon your record. I have been caught in possession 3 times, less than an ounce each time, first offense I was in the army and I got 30 days in jail, second offense in Michigan I got 30 days and 3rd offense the cop dumped it out on the ground and I got nothing.

If it's a small amount, you might just have to pay a fine. Depends on the laws where you live.

Depends on the amount you were caught with. If it's under the legal limit, you could just face detention which is a weekend in jail. If over the legal limit, you will face jail time and a hefty fine. BE MORE CAREFUL! You know how society treats us recreationalists.

yes you go to jail.but here in my city in new orleans police plant it on people just to bring them to jail for the fun of it.the police here are crooks.

i would guess it wouldnt be too big of a fine
but if a cop pulls you over cause they think ur high
they cant legally look in personal bags and stuff like backpacks or suitcases (at lest from what i heard)
so honestly i dont know but...yah

You would go to jail unless you are extremely lucky. Doubt that. It would depend on how much you had on whether it is a misdemeanor or a felony. Sentences start at 2 years and end in 60 and up. Fines start at $250. These things do depend on your State and their laws and guidelines.

listin man, i just got caught 2 hours a go with a girl who im friends with we smoked a bowl and then walked half a mile and then a cop stoped us...he said there was a report of us acting suspicious. so he searched my bag and found a little bagg it was a 15 worth of L.A Confidential. he asked me what this was and i said im holding it for a friend. . . he got all our info and everything then lechured us and explained that were not going to jail were not getting a ticket were not getting in trouble. but listin man i smoke alot and this is one of the scary things about pot its still considerd a drug whether we think so or not we can still get into trouble and ill tell you a personal thing i was more scared of jail and trouble than anything its the worst moment of your entire life... dont get caught
