What would you do if your cell phone was stolen from lost and found?

Call your scell phone company and make sure no one can call out on it. Then go to the managers office and demand your cell phone back. If they give another excuse for not giving it to you, file a police report charging them with theft AND any calls that were made on it and any contract penalties you will get for violating any contract you may have PLUS the cost of a new phone.

Get your phone cut off to keep who ever has it from using your plan. Forget the phone and get a new one, I guess.
Truly, there is probably not much you can do that won't cost you more than the phone is worth.

When your bf left his cell phone in that cab, that's pretty much the end of it. Not much you can do there.... cabs are not responsible for your personal belonging even they stated that they found it. Now he has to contact his phone carrier and report that he lost his cell phone on that date and hopefully he has insurance.

Call your cellular service provider immediately and report the lost phone so that you are not penalized for service used. File a police report for the missing item.

First, block the sim- hope u would have done b4.
File a case.
submit the case report to the cell service provider and trase out the resend call/message list.
Locate the place by the help of service provider " which antenna is being used".
if it is switch off- track it with the number of ur mobile"u wold have got it when u purchased the mobile".

try to get a new mob, with the same number, so that it might be helpful by any means........

For me, it depends if its prepaid or not, if its a regular plan every month, then yes file a report so you won't get stiffed with an exuberant payment if someone is using it. if its prepaid then i would just cancel the account, i don't think it would charge anything to cancel a prepaid account.

Call your cell phone company and have them either freeze or cancel the cell phone so that whomever has it can't make any new calls. If you can't find it, talk to your phone company about getting a new one. Once they cancel your old one, it is basically worthless (though they can fix it up so it is active if you do find the old cell phone) =/

Tell the lost and found people are sh*t at running there business or lost and founnd and need to fire and rehire new staff cos they are obviously some of the dumbest people on earth then take them to the court for losing your property and is that dont work kill them lol only joking about the last part but that is what i would do.

well first you should call your provider (alltel, verizon,t-mobile, whatver) and cancel your phone so that person doesnt make charges (like long-distant phone calls, text other people u know or whatever) then you should call the police

The first thing I would do is have it shut off. You don't know what charges that person racking up. Next, go in there and tell them that if they do not call you within the next three hours you will call the police and have them come there. That should scare them.

I'm sorry, but you have to cancel his phone. Go to (whatever network he was on) At&T for example, and tell them what happened. Say it was stolen give them the number and they'll cancel it. It's happened to my brother before...hope that helps!

First of all, call your provider and have them cancel the service on the phone. Next file a police report. Advise the manager that you have filed the police report.

Hopefully the manager will do the right thing and replace the phone if it does not turn up.

best thing to do is call the network your boyfriend was on eg. vodafone, orange, whatever and get them to bar the sim.

doesn't sound like you're going to get it back and they could use it to make wierd calls. :/

Look at ur bill to see the last numbers that were called and see who picks up at those numbers and also file a report if you have insurance on the phone then they will replace it.

The only thing you can do it call the phone company and stop your service. Anyone can take anything from a lost and found box, they do not ask for ID when you pick up lost items. Consider the phone gone, the police have to let you fill out a report but they will not look in to your case--they have real crimes to worry about.

Inmediately call the cellphone company and have them suspend the service on the cell . That way the people who stole your phone won't be able to use the cellphone anymore. Do you guys have warranty and insurance on your cellphone? It usually costs me $50.00 to have my stolen or lost cellphone replaced. Good luck.

That phone is pretty much gone. What you do now is call your service provider and have them shut that number down, then the phone can't be used.

I can't say much for all the contact information in there, but if you don't live in Las Vegas I wouldn't bother trying to find the phone. Just shut the number down and go get a new phone with a new number. At the very least, that way you aren't being charged for someone else's calls.

Buy a new one with the money you one i Vegas. If you didnt win any and lost all of it and now dont have any to buy a new phone, maybe you shouldnt have been their in the first place.

I would report it to te police straight away! make sure you have proof and evidence though or else the police won't believe you!
