"What would you do in this situation? Okay. Let's say that there was this person (or group of people) who was for years eating away at your very sanity using mental torture methods that no one would ever think about. Not only that, but no one takes you seriously when you tell anyone, so getting whatever authority that you can get to help you. is not an option. Also, you have tried all means of peaceful negotiation with them, and it has not worked. Would you a. wait until your sanity officially comes to an end, and leave the rest of the situation to the awful things that you would do while insane, or b. warn the person to stop using a threat of violence (aka threatening to hurt them)? Note that by insane, I really do mean criminally and violently insane, and also I want serious answers."

There is no quick answer to your question-- especially since it doesn't appear you mean to ask the question you have stated.

What would I do? I would remove myself from the situation. Plain and simple. I certainly wouldn't resort to the threat of violence unless it was in response to some violence (or serious threat of violence). Issues of the mind-- like your so called "mental torture"-- require thoughtful and mindful responses. But it appears that you aren't asking what would I-as-in-me do but rather, what should YOU do. And that's another matter entirely.

You've already backed yourself into a corner. And the only way to get yourself out of that corner-- with your supposed sanity intact-- is to walk out of it. If people are using "mental torture methods that no one would ever think about"-- and you can't remove yourself from the situation-- then you must rise above it-- mentally. The powers of the mind are great when you exercise them: You have to devise coping mechanisms that no one would ever think about.

I'd suggest you seek help from a mental health professional. They don't just help crazy people. Sometimes they help normal people solve problems-- especially relationship problems-- that need imaginative solutions. It certainly can't hurt. But the threat of violence or violence itself is only likely to make matters worse. Even if you think you might prevail, there's always someone "bigger" than you. The trick is to outsmart people-- not outfight them.

Please don't wait until your sanity is in question. Get help from an outside agency. Ring the Samaritans, they will help you get the proper help, they're not just for the suicidal - which is where you'll end up in this situation if you don't do something about it.

Please, please do something NOW while you're still aware there is a problem.

if this situation is real a domestic violence shelter or going to a therapist to help document are two potential first steps.

you should really seek help, i dont know whats going on here, but get help from someone, talk to a counselor. tell people until someone believes you

The tone of your question suggests a family environment.Not knowing your age or your place in the relationship makes it hard to offer an answer. Your musing about taking action when you take leave of your senses shows premeditation. At best you'll get a padded room. At worst you'll end up in an environment full of psychotics classified as criminally insane.

re read what you wrote if nobody is taking you seriously then there isn't a thing in the word you can do about any of it unless you have proof.. good luck and best wishes...huggs and all that sweety...hope you find your answers.

What ever they have hanging over you or whatever information that they are useing to torture you just get it out in the open then they will not have a reason to torture you anymore. If you confess you faults then noone can blackmale you about them.

I guess, I would ask if you have any faith, I been in a situation, where the people agaisnt me had me so stressed, I lost, over 30lbs, which I really could not spare. Someone told me to let go and let God, I put it in his hands, and I slowly drifted away from them, but if you have to be around this person, you can't simply ignore them, or do you let them see that they are getting to you? some people feed off others pain, you have something great, and they want it. Give It to Jesus and leave it there.

I do not follow why you cannot separate yourself from the situation. If your life is in danger, you should involve the law and get as far away as possible from the abuser(s). It seems from your statement that the law is failing you. You said the authority is not an option because no one is taking you seriously.
This is insanity by itself.

Not only is your sanity in jeopardy but it is quite likely that your life may be too. I say this because you are writing to ask for help; you are speaking of violence. It must be a tremendous horror of an existence.

I still maintain that you should just leave without any indication - NONE AT ALL - that you are leaving. Tell no one; leave no notes; make no phone calls; don't use a credit card; don't dress up. Just leave quietly - no fanfare.

I know of a woman who left to make a purchase at the store and flew out of the country very quietly. She was being abused and she was not going to take it anymore. She left without a trace and it was days before the abuser realised she had migrated.

you should have proof on what they are doing to you before telling others about it... its seems, that all people here who have read your statement believes you, so its not imposible to convince someone if your let it out in the open..

I definately would not "allow" anybody, for any reason, to effect my mental status to the point I would go that direction. If they were having that much of an impact on me that I even thought I might do something insane, I would remove myself from their reach to gather my thoughts and control. You have to maintain control of yourself at all times!! Never let someone else dictate your rationization or thought processes! You have to maintain control of your actions!!!!!!

Seriously? Leave, and for "no" reason what so ever, should you ever come back. No one can control you, tell you what to do, or how to be, hurt you, or anything hurtful, if you aren't around for them to "do" those things. Impossible" no, and if "I" can do it, anyone can.
