In California after your first DUI conviction, you pretty much cant drink anymore. If you get stopped and the driver is drunk you will get your second DUI conviction even if you are a passenger. Also if you are Drunk in public and you get stopped with your car keys you will also get the DUI because the intent was there.

Aside from the obvious stupidity of banning handguns at the explicitly listed areas, the "any other area" is doubly stupid, because it is vague.

In some state in the U.S it is against the law to carry an ice cream in your back pocket,
one of the rules in York ( England ) was there was a street where you could legally beat your wife with a stick if she was being unfaithful however the stick could not be thicker in diameter of your thumb! This was back in the 1600s or so!

I took a law class in high school, and we looked through the our state statutes. In the state of Wisconsin, there was a statute addressing the nomenclature of businesses in which the game of bowling occurs. They may not be called "bowling alleys" because of the negative connotation of the word "alley." Instead, they must be called "bowling centers." I don't know if it's still on the books this way, but I'm amazed it ever got on in the first place... and people complain about the use of tax dollars to fund schools!

The law that requires you to pay sales tax on the California Redemption Value (i.e. recycling fee charged on a soda can or bottle). That's double taxation. I really hate it. Now they even charge redemption value on juice. They want to tax everything from your wallets.
