He is an immigration lawyer given out totally wrong advice and result of his client being deported.

Google or Yahoo the name of your state and "bar association". Then search the site for complaints. Or look for their phone number and ask for complaint forms.
However, the client has to be the one to complain, maybe a family member. |

You can look up in the yellow pages the address/phone number of your local Bar Association. Contact them to see what can be done about this lawyer and if you know others who have been mislead by his actions, let them contact the Bar Association as well.

Contact the local State Bar and file a report. Usually they'll send you the necessary forms to make the complaint when you call them or go to their website, you might be able to download forms or file complaint online with some progressive State Bar Associations.

I spoke to a fellow lawyer just days ago and she told me of a number of cases she has just taken on involving an immigration attorney who was disbarred for misappropriating client funds. His clients were immigrants and he billed them for services that he was not performing and for costs that he was not incurring. She told me this is quite common in this field of law because illegal immigrants rarely file complaints or lawsuits against the lawyers who defraud them.
Report this to your state's Board of Bar Overseers or comparable oversight body. You may find the right agency/board under the jurisdiction of your Secretary of State, but if you don't then simply ask which agency/board has jurisdiction over attorneys and then file your complaint with that organization.
I am sorry to hear of this dire situation. You need to act quickly before this person is deported otherwise there may be no case that can be pursued against this attorney.
