dui first offense First Offense:
Fine of $250 - 500 Imprisonment for no more than 6 months. There is no mandatory minimum. Your license will be revoked for 180 days â€“ 1 year. If the Blood Alcohol Level is greater than .20, the fine escalates to $500-1,000, the prison term becomes no more than 9 months, any person convicted of reckless driving shall be punished:

(a) Upon a first conviction, by imprisonment for a period of not more than 90 days or by fine of not less than $25 nor more than $500, or by both such fine and imprisonment.

Yeah DUI is worse, more of a stigma to it.

If you mean 1st offense DUI then it would be worse. DUI's are always going to be worse. reckless driving could be anything depending on your state. for instance in oklahoma swerving, going 20 over the speed limit, things like that could get you reckless driving. easily justifiable by i dropped my phone and tried to pick it up took my eyes off the road swerved and they pulled me over. DUI however means you drove with an illegal amount of substance (alcohol, drugs, etc) in your system period no doubt about it. punishment is also more strict on a DUI

A DUI is a more serious charge than reckless driving.
