Probably only 5% of lawyers would earn more. the reality is that most lawyers just make a living. The problem is that the public only hears about the high profile lawyers.
If you are a good lawyer you will easily earn more then a politician. |

from my experience they are both equally crooked but if I had to make a choice a lawyer makes more money |

It really depends - although the wealthiest lawyers get paid much more than politicians do. |

Both can have a wide range of income. A member of a county planning commission might serve for $1.00 a year while the prez gets 400K plus plenty of opportunity after leaving office. A lawyer might have his office above a bar and be hoping to make enough to pay the rent, or he might be a partner in a huge firm pulling in millions. |

If the politician is corrupt or the lawyer works for public service, the politician. Otherwise, usually the lawyer if they are at a comperable level in their profession. The President of the US gets paid more than a typical 1st year attorney, but that's not really a fair comparison. |
