Who hates the animal rights group PETA?

I agree that PETA is a bit radical.
And, I also believe that originally, animals were meant to be eaten.
But, animals are not meant to be tortured, forced to live in their own sh*t, etc.
It's not okay.
If the animals were treated better during the time before they were slaughtered (in a humane way), I wouldn't have a problem with it.
It shouldn't take that much work to make sure that the animals can get to their food/water, live in clean environments, and be safe.
So, until something is done about the cruelty, I choose not to eat meat.
Anyhow, eating growth hormones isn't really my thing (:

When it comes to animal testing, I kind of agree with PETA. But not fully.
I think it's unnecessary to test cosmetics/any other material items on animals. But if we can find the cure for cancer, AIDS, whatever else, by animal testing, by all means, go for it.

The truth is that we are above animals. But that does not give us the right to torture them.

Those people aren't really for animal rights. They just want an excuse to be rude, combative and self rightous. They're not nice and humanitarian about their beliefs, they're just looking for a fight because they're sick militant lost souls looking for a "cause". Too bad they're not against HUMAN cruelty.

edit: I don't know any of their numbers, but some of them hang out in Norfolk VA airport making RUDE comments to women with leather or fur trim in their clothing. Funny how they leave big men or women with large husbands alone. They're such nasty cowards.

I disagree to an extent.

I am a vegetarian. And i agree with their morals. Sometimes, the way they go about it, though is a bit crazy.

I don't believe animals are meant to be eaten. They deserve to live.

Don't let the members of PETA get you turned of of animal rights in general.

They would let a human die before an ant, these people are freeeaks. Don't get me wrong, I would kill someone before I would let them hurt my dog, but protesting eating meat is ridiculous.

PETA is a hypocrisy. This is what they believe in.
-No eating of meats or animal byproducts
-No farming of animals
-No medical testing of animals
-No animals for entertainment purposes
(This means NO PETS)
(NO ZOOS)
(NO PETTING FARMS)
(AND NO ANIMALS ON TELEVISION)
This is where the hypocritical aspect of PETA comes into play.
-They believe in no violence towards animals, but use violence against people to get their way.
They firebomb animal testing labs, protest outside of peoples homes, vandalize, and start riots with criminal activity to get their way.
-Vice President of PETA, Mary Beth Sweetland, a type a diabetic, uses insulin daily to stay alive. The problem is that insulin was made by using medical testing on dogs, which PETA is strictly against!
All in all, PETA is a very hypocritical organization that uses violence, criminal mischief, intimidation, fear, guilt, and propoganda to achieve their goals of "complete animal liberation".
One more fact is that PETA is against animals being euthanized in animal shelters. They would pprefer the animals to be free. Here's where the problem lies. In 2007, PETA took in 2,103 animals. That same year, they euthanized 1,325 animals because they could no longer offer care for them. That means that only 778 animals rescued by PETA that year actually survived PETA. That means that almost two thirds of the animals PETA rescues each year, end up dying in the hands of PETA. It would have been better if PETA had never rescued them at all. Afterall, PETA does claim to be against animal euthanization right? Here is a video that outlines PETA's faults and hypocracy.

Most everyone. It's not an animal friendly organization. They adopt animals then they kill them. All they're interested in is a contribution for other political causes. You can not find any animal friendly activities they' involved in. Sot of like that other group of self centered group, Greenpeace.

PETA does more damage to animal rights than it does good.

I am a big supporter of animal rights, but I am also extremely practical. I'm interested in achievable goals that involve benefits for both industry and animal welfare.

Saying stupid stuff like everyone should be vegan and fish should be called sea kittens degrades animal welfare issues and is just plain ridiculous.

I believe animals have just as much rights as we do too! People don't see it but all animals are unique in their own way. Some are too harsh on animals, including those that get pets and don't take them time to take care of thm or abuse them. I am against killing animals just for fun, to make random decorations, animal abuse, not taking care of pets when people buy them. and putting animal populations down.

I think they are going overboard too. You can not force people to do what they love to do and enjoy animal food.

Animals know this. They will not come back if it was against their wishes either. So, they know they will be eaten, and we all have fun.

People think that animals think like they do. Animals take care of themselves.
