My doctor gives me transquilizers for short-term relief of severe anxiety. I was having trouble disciplining myself with them.
I sent a packet of them to my friend in another city and asked him to send them back the next week, therefore meaning I would not be able to take too many. I sent the tablets to him in a self addressed stamped envelope which he has received.
I asked him on Monday to post them back, he said they did, he said he posted them on Tuesday, then on Wednesday he said he was going to do it then. My doctor is now looking for these tablets as evidence that I have still got them.
My friend obviously is either too lazy to go to the mail or has taken the tablets for himself. What can I do?

Did you not have anyone closer than your friend who could look after the tablets for you?? It is a bizarre situation to be honest. Why is your doctor now looking for the tablets? If you doctor is that concerned, maybe he should not have given them to you in the first place?
I think you should call your doctor and explain all this to him. Medicine is prescribed for a purpose and those pills were prescribed for your condition. I am sure you will feel kind of foolish admitting to the doctor that you sent them to your friend to 'look after', however, this will give the doctor further insight into your condition and help him to help you. If you need the tablets you have to be up front and honest - and don't do it again.

You are responsible. Because you have no self discipline, you mailed your medication to someone else so you say. It doesn't matter why he doesn't send them back if this is true. Had it not been for your poor decision, he never would have had them. " What can I do ". How about, TELL THE TRUTH. |
