I think it should be legal everywhere with regulations like alcohol...shouldn't drive on it, etc....but the goverment shouldn't be able to charge it, like ciggs...yuck...it should be decriminalized at the most.

We spend so much money keeping pot dealers in jail, when really they don't hurt anyone, they help. Some ppl. need weed for depression, anxiety, & it could help anorexics gain weight & be healthy. What about chemo patients? They suffer tremendously & there is something out there that can help them, but aren't allowed the remedy..shame. I think the $$ our goverment wastes on this losing battle is a HUGE WASTE-it should be a personal choice if you want to do it. Education should be the key to prevention (for those of you who think it's so horrible, where did you learn that? You didn't just wake up & say "hey, this is bad," someone taught you that). Think about the GOOD we could do with $$ spent alone on those stupid above the influence commericals...they just don't work. I never heard about someone going into a weed rage, or over-dosing on it & almost dying...it's BS that it's illegal in the first place...have you ever looked up how it was made illegal? It's a huge joke! Do some research while you're toking up next time...lol

Make sure you just have fun with it, & don't turn into a loser...! Don't carry it on you either....just b/c it shouldn't be illegal doesn't mean you won't get in trouble if you get caught!

not only cali but the whole darn country. so many people, cops, politicians, judges, preists, nuns, and hobos do it anyway so why not just slap a tax on it and call it legal. thay would make more money taxing it than they would for fines on it. plus you cant overdose on it like you can on alcohol.

it is legal in california, if you have a medical condition. I think all drugs should be legal, it would take the black market element out of the equation, and in turn prices would come down, and there would be less murders and robberies. They actually do quite well in Holland. There is less crime, because there is no black market drugs.

Of course it should be legal. It should be legal throughout the U.S. There is no legitimate reason for marijuana to be illegal. Of course, there are thousands of cops, judges, lawyers, and prison guards who make their livings because of the marijuana prohibition. Sort of a Prison-Industrial complex.

Think of this : Legalize - you won't have your out door grown weed , the only thing left would be hydro grown by scientist you take most of the thc out of the bud thus far making no sense to smoke it. Plus they will put fillers in the pot

Marijuana should be legal everywhere in the United States. I do not recall the date, but it was legal in previous U.S. history.
I think it will become legal when the federal government can figure out how to adequately tax it/profit from it.

What I find interesting is that there are only two drugs on this planet (manmade or natural) that a person can actually die from withdrawal. The first is sleeping pills. The second? Alcohol. Both of which are perfectly legal.
