Oh yes! I completely agree. We should shoot everyone who does anything we think is vile or wrong. Let's ramp up that list to include thievery, assault, and oh.... good old fashioned rape. Since we're getting along with the whole thing let's also let's institute a death penalty for being gay! Because lots of people are against that. After that we can include foreigners who don't speak the official language very well. They're quite annoying, aren't they? After that lets start up a nice little fascist state where we kill anyone who expressing free speech and whatnot.
It's a pretty deep downhill ride. The only reason for killing someone as a punishment is if you really think there's some hell for them to go to. Since this isn't the case, than it's not much of a punishment is it? Your life ends, woopdidoo. There's no regret. You don't spend the next sixty years sitting in a jail cell little bigger than you are getting fed gruel three times a day (an exageration I'll admit, but I wouldn't mind if prisoners were fed gruel... with vitamin suppliments). The point of sending them to jail is so that they'll feel bad about it. They'll tear out their own hearts in torment and live a broken and shattered life if they ever get out.
Of course this is an idealists viewpoint. Most of them never feel bad about it and they are certainly true criminals who should be killed because you're saving the world a bit of trouble. But it's the innocent ones.... yes I said innocent because it's not like they choose to be attracted to children. I know, I'm a paedophile. I've never commited the crime, but I know how they feel. It's more horrible than you can possibly imagine. It's a sense of loneliness bigger than the world.
So you can take you half hearted self righteous undignified bigotry and (dare I say it) bugger off. You're discriminating against people. |

No, two of the reasons the death sentence was scrapped in the UK in the 1960s was that it wasn't seen as being enough of a deterrent, and there was always the possibility of a mistaken verdict.
To reintroduce it therefore would only ultimately brutalise even further a society that has higher violent crime levels anyway than it did 40 years ago, and would be a step backwards in the attempts to really deal with the problems of crime. |

so many cases where the person has been sentenced to death have been proven innocent years later with dna testing.
how would you feel if your dad was sentenced to death and later it was proven that he wasnt guilty, and now he is dead. there is no turning back from death. |

If we continue to go down the line of listening to the 'human rights' of paedophiles then we are just as guilty of offending against their victims. Paedolphiles should be castrated, physically and mentally. One strike and your'e out! I cannot imagine anyone giving grounds for a reasoned argument against this - there is no excuse for these filthy perverts! |

no i don't believe in the death penalty. for you let's say the reason is they can suffer longer alive than dead. but i just think it's out place to decide. no one or two, etc people should have the power to decide that and plus with our shitty justice system, mistakes can happen all along the way and contrary to popular belief i don't believe one person should be sacrificed for the many |

If you are going to be fair, then all pedophiles who are not masochists should be raped once for every life they destroyed. The death penalty sounds like a decent way to handle pedophiles but it does not come near the punishment they truly deserve. |

I understand that this is a very touchy subject, however as a mother of 4 I don't believe that the death sentence is the way out for Paedophiles or kiddy fiddlers (whatever term you want to use for the ba$tards)
If you have loved & nurtured your child until some pervert takes that away & the perpetrator is caught, I would want them to suffer as i would for the rest of their life, but i would leave them loose in a prison full of contract killers, rapists, murderers - they would deal there own justice, just in time for the prison service to revive them, and so it goes on! |
