Why do people with closed minds always open their mouths?

I am not sure. I have always found it better to not say anything and have people think I am stupid then to open my mouth and remove all doubt.

ok now you're gonna need to have an open mind for this.

EVERYONE is close minded about something, at least one thing, most of us more.
For instance I will never sleep with a relative of mine and I refuse to change my narrow mind. No matter what anyone says.

And so in answer to your qeustion, we open our mouths because mouths were not made to be closed.

Don't get mad at these people, just try to prove them wrong, you may never win but it's a fun game to play.

May I suggest that by posing such a question....and determining that someone is "closed minded", you, yourself show that YOU are close minded.

"Open Mind", what exactly is that suppose to mean?

Is someone allowed to listen to an idea or opinion and disagree?
Is someone allowed to say that there are absolutes? Such as rape being wrong. Or is everything just a matter of opinion?

There is a woman I know whose Grandmother used to say, "If you keep your mind too open, your brain may fall out."

i think it is not about having open minds, but having nothing in them, or not using them before they speak, i have allways belived that there is no such thing as a thick person, just people that are to lazy to use and think properly, i think the same theory can be applied here
