Why doesn't my husband pay any attention to me?

He may be depressed or really stressed. There may be something bothering him and he doesn't want to bother you with it. Ask him if everything is ok. give him some space and time eventually he will come around.

The biggest mistake I have seen friend make in their marriages is for one, either the husband or the wife, to become too clingy and needy.

A marriage shouldn't mean that you are joined at the hip. Both of you should pursue your own interests. Maybe you want to take a yoga class, and he wants to learn woodworking.

Guys want to be with women who have their own pursuits, their own interests. An accomplished woman is all the more alluring.

As a guy, I can tell you one thing that drives us crazy is when women insist on talking on the time. Please don't take offense. I'm not saying that you talk too much, but if he has stopped listening to you, that might be the first hint.

There was a girl I dated once who absolutely would never allow two seconds of silence. If we were at dinner, she'd talk non-stop. I don't know when she ever had time to eat. A healthier relationship is when neither partner feels the need to talk all the time. They are comfortable just relaxing, and don't find the silences awkward.

There is an old saying directed at parents: "Let your son follow his own road, and it will always lead back to you". The same concept could apply to a marriage. Give your spouse some breathing room. Ideally, your day should be so busy and full of activities that HE should be trying to find an opening in your schedule to be with you.

There is a definate problem going on. You both need to go to counceling. If he is not willing it may be time to call it quits. I can't imagine not spending at least some time with my wife even after a long day of work. And I would never spend the night on the couch.

Something is very very wrong here. Very wrong. Do you think he's cheating? I think you need to sit down and talk to him. If he has distanced himself from you this hard and is this determined to not be around you, something is very wrong. Go with your gut, and look for the signs.

reading your question I presumed that you have tried to talk to your husband about the situation, and it seems that nothing has come of it. If you have been attentive to him and he still does not change his manner leave him alone and I'll bet that he will come around eventually.

Seek counseling. This is unusual. Know that most men don't need to talk as much as women though, and if he has been working all day he may just be talked out.

ugh thats how all guyz are but do reverse pshycology. dont pay attention to him maybe then he'll realize that ur not paying attention to him and will start noticing u

yeah somethings not right because my husband works all day to but he still pays attention to me and our daughter. he has a rough job too and still pays alot of attention to us anyway. i would sit down and talk to him,because thats not healthy in a marrige.

He could be bored with you, unhappy with you, unhappy with his work, himself...who knows? You may want to seek counselling together if you can't get through to him. Maybe he resents you because he feels he has to bring home all the money. Maybe he's telling the truth -- he's just tired and wants to relax. He's your husband so give him the benefit of the doubt but tell him you are not happy with things this way and you want the two of you to do something constructive towards making things better.
