It is sad that the symbol of your religion has been corrupted. So going on that thought why isn't the christian cross synonymous with the inquisition. How many people died in that? Does the ha mas have a symbol? Is it synonymous with the same? What about Islam do they have a symbol and with the wars that are being cause right now in the name of Islam will that symbol or the way they dress should that be synonymous with the same? Radical Islam wants us dead because we don't believe the way they do.
I say where it if you want to and explain the true meaning of it to people who misinterpret it's meaning. It is really hypocritical of some people here to say things against it when they don't understand and with so many maybe even more people died because of the religion they follow. |

Who else walks around wearing symbols? |

Because of what Hitler did is so ingrained into people's minds now when they see that symbol, it's just a constant reminder of the stuff he did. Which is why it's outlawed now. It may have meant something else originally, but the Nazi's perverted that image so much now that many people have forgotten it's original origins and just associate the swastika with Nazi's now. |

People fear it because of what the Germans did. Since the Germans had that as their symbol people fear the symbol. Also, not many people actually know what it means, which induces even more fear upon people. I say wear it where it is acceptable, because people may hurt you if they see you wearing it. |

If you wear it as the buddhist symbol there should be no problem with you wanting to wear it.
Not everyone realizes the history of the symbol and Hitler's turning it around to mean the opposite of it's positive message.
Don't be surprised if people become upset or angry or question you- be prepared to explain it. Or carry a picture of it with you on the buddha to show them. |

The swastika is a symbol of hatred and bigotry towards humanity...this symbol represents a world-wide acceptance of genocide for racial superiority! |

First you might want to stop calling your self an Aryan, there's no such thing. The swastika is part of my religion of Asatru, as it was used by many different cultures. It was demonized be Hitler, and people aren't going to over that until they have been educated. I say wear it, but if called on it, explain it's origins and what it means to you. |

Why would you want to. The swatiska represents the symbol of Hitler and the Nazi party who murdered hundreds of thousands of people. Why would you want to be associated with hate? I applaud countries for banning it. |

Go ahead, wear it. Put on the side of your truck. Drive anywhere in south central LA, Philly, D.C., south side of Chicago, Detroit, East St. Louis. |

That symbol may be a symbol of your religion but it is a better known symbol of the Nazi's. There are still like minded people who supported the Nazi reign and use that symbol as a rallying point. Nobody wants to see that party revitalized. It is good that you respect every race. Find another way to show it. |

Well, the one you have in that link isn't as Swastika-ish as the ones people freak out about. It's got those little dots. Are those ones banned, too? Because those ones clearly have a different meaning from the ones Hitler used... |

Your understanding and the majority's understanding about the symbol you mentioned is totally different. I respect your opinion. Do you respect the majority's opinion? Did you asked your self why most of the world people hate this symbol.
You told us a good memories of the symbol. Others told you a bad memories of the symbol. Compare the two ideas. I am sure that it is not balanced. Just forget this symbol.
Thanks! |

It's true, the swastika has been around LONG before that genocidal F***-head. But, the problem is, it's not mentally placed with the Romans anymore or anyone else. They stick it with Hitler and then mentally with things HE did, or people they knew or were related to that were affected. They also attribute it to ACTUAL Neo-nazis (morons). So that's why you're taking so much flak for it. I also think the Confederate flag should be burned, much for the same memories. |

It's cute that you don't understand why people would be upset by the symbol that means death and torture to millions.
If you choose to live in the western world and culture you must learn to be polite to others and respect their feelings.
If I lived in your homeland and wanted to wear a symbol that was as offensive to you, I too would edit myself to respect your feelings. |
