He is and he brain washed teens into killing people for him... he knew about all the murders and being an accomplice in setting up a murder is just as bad as the actual deed! |

He convinced his followers to kill people.... do you want him out of prison or something???
Is anyone else worried about joy??? Why would you think he doesn't deserve to be in prison? |

Because every time he has a parole hearing they ask him he would do if he got out and he replies that he would gather up his old followers and start murdering people again. |

he actually did commit a crime--he was convicted of seven murders. you don't have to pull the trigger to be guilty of homicide. |

Because he was the master mind of the murders committed by his "children", and that makes him just as guilty as the person committing the act. He allegedly orchestrated the murder of Sharon Tate and everyone who was in that house, which would be the same as a person hiring a hit-man to kill their spouse.
He may not have done it, but he wanted it done and influenced others to carry it out. That makes him just as guilty as the ones who committed the brutality.
Also, he and his followers did receive the death penalty when they were first convicted in April 1971, and in 1972 the California Supreme Court abolished the death penalty in the state and all of the defendants are serving life sentences. |

Are you serious? He was convicted of conspiracy to murder and murder of 9 people. I don't know where you live, but in California those are very serious crimes. |

Because there's no death penalty in his state. |

He refuses to attend any of his parole hearings. He believes that if he is released, someone will kill him. |
