Why is a "hate crime" committed against Caucasians not considered a hate crime?

To add more detail, why is it that the only races/genders who benefit from are non-Caucasoid males and females? Furthermore, aren't all crimes committed out of hatred? It doesn't seem fair to slap an extra decade onto a given sentence because the assailant was of a different race.

Aleferny... so is this motivated by a revenge/guilt ethos designed to make whites feel the pain that minorities felt during slavery and segregation?

"Hate crimes" are a misnomer. You're right. Nobody commits a crime because they LOVE the person! The problem is that Caucasians/straights don't have equal protection under the law. And that isn't Constitutional!

I agree with you, though there are some cases where the crimes are legit motivated by specific hatred based on race.
The reason whites can't claim hate crime is that we are not a minority. I hate crime is a legal protection for a minority. |

i think that most people wouldn't consider that a hate crime simply because that person was Caucasian. For centuries White people have dominated over other races so people tend to show pity towards the victims and the descendents of those who suffered long ago. They dont notice that right now the racisim is coming from both sides but it isnt considered racist when a black person makes fun of a white person but its not the same the other way around. (i dont mean to offend anyone by the way) |
