Why is it ok for a Muslim to make death threats to British citizens, but the other way round is deemed racist?

I completely agree with you - it is good that we live in a free country with free speech, but making public threats against the country you live in is wrong and in my view treason.

Quite simply, if these people do not like living in a free and democratic society that is Britain then there is nothing to stop them leaving - and good riddance from the rest of us!

Isn't it ironic? Islamic radicals exercise freedom of speech and expression in their protest of Dutch cartoons or the words of the Pope. Free speech should be a two way street.

When you are labeled 'racist' for challenging muslims, ask the accuser "what race is Islam?" It stops them in their tracks each time. Make sure you keep "race" out of the debate. Don't mention Arab or Persian or any other. Stay on topic.

If anyone is making threatening statements then they should be arrested no matter what race or religion they are. We in the west are too scared to upset any ethnic minority that we usually keep quiet or we are afraid to be targeted as a racist. Maybe we have gone too far in appeasing these people and should stand up and say "enough is enough" and make sure that everyone is treated equally and fairly. I am not a racist.

We having this conversation last night and what you are saying is so true.
A Muslim could walk into a white meeting accuse us of obstructing the Muslim way of life - in Britain, spout loads of racist anti christian crap and just be politely ushered out the building.
If a white bloke walked into a mosque and said the same stuff just spun around, he would be arrested and punished.

Certain groups react by trying to blow you up if they don't like you... so people try to be sensitive of their feelings and walk on eggshells around them.

Just like an alcoholic psycho relative at a family dinner, you try not to say anything to upset them because of their reaction, even though they have offended everyone in the room.

i can only assume that as civilized people we are not supposed to call the barbarians what they are.

I'm with you in your concerns. However, there must be a deeply seated feeling of guilt at work that prevents law enforcers from applying the law regardless of the background of the offender. Much of that feelings is related to the performance of a country such as the UK at the international level. In other words, the B-B Axle (Bush-Blair) squandered the moral capital your country had to play by the rules.

Hating Muslims is not racist. I don't mind the Muslim Indonesians and there is more of them than all the other Muslims put together. How many people have a problem with Hindus or Buddhists? Hardly any because they aren't war mongering jihadists who hate us. Every action has an equal and opposite reaction.They hate us and we hate them back. Indeed we now face the ever prevailant risk of being too politically correct. The 'extremists' who go off making threats and simply acting vulgar and idiotic constantly need to justify their pathetic existence and thus resort to such acts. This should be penalised and as long as we entertain it we'll continue to be the loser on all accounts.

No it is not okay for muslims to make death threats to any one.

No one has the right to to make these threats, is about the british being soft.

We should take action against them and stop excusing them because it is racist.

I think in some ways you're right - its all about being too politically correct.

But in other ways you are very wrong. Your question generalises Muslims. As a Christian/border Agnostic I would be absolutely devastated to be grouped in with fundamental christian extremists - wouldn't you?

I think the answer is equality. We need to be equal in our treatment of people, both good and bad. We can't stereotype, we shouldn't generalise...we need to be a lot less ignorant than the majority of us currently are. But at the same time we need to start saying what we really believe instead of being too politically correct about these things.

There is too much irony here to make meaningful response. There is a huge difference between alleged death "threats" and the actual reality.

Why not check out the website of a former UK ambassador and find out what is going on with the spin machine.

This is an easy question. Muslims are equal opportunity threateners. They make death threats to British citizens, Danish citizens and US citizens. In fact, given the right conditions, they would kill all non-Muslims.

because they moan and whinge all the time at any criticism, the problem with the whole lot of them is their tolerance levels are too low of others, adn they think they are above criticism.
