It's not okay to shoot a dog.. At least where I am from there are laws that forbiden such action. Even if laws did not exist there is the law of nature and you as a human , most intelligent animal :P, should know what is ok and what's not.. Its called conscience..;P |

Of course they are both murder. I have no idea why there is not a law that prohibits people from killing any animals without reason (ie the reasons it could have rabies, old age etc). |

Although some people feel it is ok to shoot a dog, this is not true. In the US and other countries, shooting a dog is cruelty to animals.
Murder in the definition of law is the killing of a human being. An animal does not come under the protection of the law in that regard. |

It is not really ok to shoot an animal, but the reasoning would be that humans have souls and have an afterlife, while animals do not. Afterall, we do have the domain over all animals on the earth(as said in the bible). |
