Why is it that AL Sharpton has to put his nose in everyones business? He is the biggest racist to Whites!?

It is not the hypocrisy concerning racial issues that bothers me the most. It is the fact that most of these agitators call themselves "Reverend" like they are Christian ministers. As a Christian I was taught that as such our primary concern should be for the salvation of souls. We should pattern ourselves after Christ and be followers of him. Although Jesus was certainly controversial in his day, he did not go from town to town staging protests. He said to count it all joy when you are being persecuted. He taught long-suffering, love and forgiveness for all who have wronged you. He did not advocate the agitation of one group against another. It seems to me that if these "Reverends" were half as interested in peoples salvation as they were their civil rights, and the agitation of the masses, then all would benefit. If you want to be an agitator, then don't do it under the guise of Christianity.

Imus gave Al Sharpton credibility when he agreed to go on his radio show. The apology should have been issued to the team, in person, in private, without Sharpton or Jackson or our not so wonderful media. I don't believe Sharpton or Jackson have the credibility of my two golden retrievers. I don't know what MLK would do if he were here, don't much care, I'm not sure he was the leader we've been led to believe he was either. Thanks

Stirring up race controversies and inciting racial tensions is how people like him gain fame, money, and power. If all was peaceful and alright between the racial groups he'd be out of a job

Sharpton needs to pull his head out of his butt, and stop acting like the world is this huge pit of racist inequity --- it's morons like him who keep this kind of thing going!

Chris Rock (comedian) calls whites crackers constantly - but we are not be offended because he's black.....personally I could care less, cracker, honky, ghost, pale-face.....it goes back to sticks and stones type thing.

People need to get over it -- Imus made a piss poor choice of words --- oh hell we've all done that. Asked a blind man "did you see that" or deaf man "you hear the one about the priest in the bar".....everyone has said something at some point they wish they could take back -- life goes on.

LOL!! Rev. Al Sharpton and Rev. Jesse James (why is it that they're Reverends?? I don't get it...) are UN-doing everything that Dr. King faught for. They say they are carrying on his legacy... they are damaging the credibility of the entire movement.

And why do they feel they have to be "Leaders of the Black Community"... No other race here in the US has more than 1 leader... AND WE CALL HIM PRESIDENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't believe in racism. All people are of the human race and we all look different. I do believe in ignorance and hatred. I am not white--I am tannish. This whole mentality in US society about what race you are is stupid and creates racism. Many people believe that the "black" race came from apes. I don't believe in evolution so this is impossible. God created all in it's own kind. I am the same kind as Sharpton--I just don't care for what he has to say. I am not a victim like him. Imus is boring.

I agree - this country is about FREEDOM OF SPEECH, but once one person says something that another does not like they are put down. I agree that Imus should have watched what he said, but what about Sharpton calling the Duke Lacrosse players RACIST RAPISTS. That is totally uncalled for and that was before any evidence had been presented. What happened to innocent until proven guilty.

What most people don't realize is that Al Sharpton actually makes racism worse by his useless tirades. Why don't he or Jesse Jackson apologize to the Duke players? The other day I heard a mother call in on a talk show the other day and she told the host that she had trained her children that all people are created equal. Now she has malice inside because people like Al Sharpton are quick to shred someone else but do not apologize when they are wrong. Sharpton actually encourages racism because people immediately think almost anything can be interpreted as racist. This is just an incident in the big picture. Later this will be used as an excuse to outlaw talk radio because it is too offensive.

it is about race....how were Imus's comments not abotu race...that makes no sense....just like Imus has freedom of speech so does Al Sharpton...unless you say he doesn't deserve freedom of speech because he is black?

I dont think al sharpton is a racist against whites i think he just speaks his mind and doesn't hold any thing back.. I know if imus was blk it would be different as in any situtation it would be..so you cant say that to solve the problem because it will always be different .. i guess its ohk to make fun of your own race but if it is about another race its a whole another situation as always...This conflict i feel between blk and whites will never end becasue of that whole slavery issue and how the whites had treated the blks. So its like this if ya white and you say something against blks your a racist but if a blk person said something against whites your not labeled as a racist--because i feel ppl think its pay back for all of the s**t they put us through and what they did to my ppl and my ancestors and the hard times they endured as treating the "white man" superior and the white man treating them like s**t, like dogs, like property,not people. ....its kinda like the same thing between guys and girls...if a guy sleeps with alot of girls hes called the "man" but if a girl sleeps with the same amount of guys she called a "hoe"...so its kinda like the same thing we just cant explain and i think we'll never know.
