Why is running from the police always a bad idea?

Um, I don't know why they bother to run, but nowdays there are helicopters and spy cams all over the city and they can dispatch other cop cars to come running at you from the direction you are going so the person will just be surrounded.

Plus, there is that new invention that is basically a gun that shoots a web that catches the person that is running. So yeah, it's a pretty bad idea to run from the police.

Not only that, but if the person would have just surrendered peacefully they would have been better off, but instead they chose to run and now when the cops do catch that person they are going to beat the sh*t out of them for running.

What about the TASER GUN that awesome get hit with that and you look like a fish out of water. Watched the video's when they where used on criminals funny FLOP FLOP little fishy. So they run and hope they stay out of range of it.

I think it's dangerous because you never know when you might run into a trigger-happy policeman or a nervous rookie. Look what happened to that Brazilian guy in London....he ran away from the police who thought he was one of the suspects in the July 7 bombing. They shot him dead in the head 4 times when he was running away.

If your conscience is clear and you have done nothing wrong, stand still and let them do their thing. If they arrest you and you know you've done nothing wrong, just get your lawyer. After the tirade is over, sue the police back for wrongful arrest (breach of your civil and human rights), especially if you suspect that they did not have 'reasonable doubt' at all in the first place to warrant your arrest.

Adrenalin... If you watch most people who run from the police on foot, or from a car, you'll notice it is suddon and NO hesitation. For a breif split second the thought of being able to outrun them mixed with the realization your going to jail, mised with the adrenalin, causes people to vault thinking they can outrun the law. Of course this often isnt the case, and most people who run often dont realise what they did, persay, until they are aprahended. I managed to outrun the police many times, each time because of my crimes against spelling and grammar.

People run from the police because they are stupid and think they can get away. Most of the time, they get hurt and only compound the charges. There have been many incidents where police have shot and killed people for running.
