I have no clue. As the ding bats who think it's okay. Personaly I think it's cruel and horrible to put your child through that.
As a parent I would do my job and protect my child, not put them through unbarable pain.

Because it's become an important religious/cultural tradition and people are scared to ban it because they don't like annoying religious people and be seen to be racist. I do think it's unfair and it should be illegal.

Because the law says it isn't illegal regardless of what YOU think. If it is mutilation without consent as you proclaim, then it shouldn't be difficult for you to plead your case to the government and have it banned in the near future.
