I'm with you. Why keep a pedophile around? Someone above answered that execution is not a detriment. Well, who knows, that may be true, but it sure as h*** prevents THAT particular person from ever harming another child again now doesn't it? A pedophile will never be rehabbed, to turn them loose on society again to hurt some other helpless, innocent child is a real crime. A bullet surely costs less than a lifetime of imprisonment.

because execuating a person affects other people like their family or friends and i don't think thats very fair inflicting that sort of pain on other people just because someone else has done wrong.
Some of these murderers are mentally disturbed and deserve help not to be killed. And it also costs a lot to execute someone.

OK, so you get rid the paedophiles and murderers, and there's none left. What then? Execute the bank robbers, because that's the worst crime there is? Let's say you keep doing this until the worst crime left is not taking your trolley back to the supermarket - are you going to execute them?

Because we are ruled by a spineless government, who are ruled by the penal reformers, the the prison inspectorate, and the probation service. So until they get out of the grip of these people it will never happen, unfortunately!

Because we do not have the right to kill another human. I know it may be easier just to get rid of the problem but these rapists and murderers are still someones child, someones husband, father.
I do however believe prisons should not be a nice place, they should be cold and smelly and boring - stuff human rights - and that way it will be a decent punishment.

It really hasn't been proven executions deter crime. Most criminals figure its the other guy who'll get caught because they are dumber than they are.
