short answer, cause you would be punished for not obeying them lol. we have laws to keep the nice, kind, honest, and non-agressive people safe from psychos!!! without laws, what is there to stop me from, lets say stealing your ride??? NOTHING!!!! but with laws instated and ENFORCED, there is now a deterrent. i have to think "is stealing your car worth five to fifteen years of my life in jail, just to cruise around town for a couple of hours?" in my case,no its not worth it. good people dont really need laws. they would do the right thing without them (in my perfect little world). as i said before, laws are deterrents to keep bad people at bay.

Because you expect it of others. We enjoy the security of knowing people will be reprimanded for breaking the law.

Laws and rules are the basis of society.

Without laws society would be chaotic and disorderly. If someone was mad they could just kill you and no one would care. Anyone in a position of power could take anything they wanted from you. There would be no safety or order in society.

Well, we obey laws so we don't get in trouble. Though, there are some laws we can do without, laws were put into place by man, and man is flawed. I fallow the laws placed on me cause I HAVE to, but there are laws that could, and should, be taken away, replaced, or, eradicated. but again, I fallow a lot of them cause I don't want to go to jail, I fallow requirements placed on my busyness cause I HAVE to, not cause they have any thing to do with it.

We obey laws so that social anarchy and chaos do not ensue.

Because you choose to stand for righteousness, justice, and peace in your pursuit of happiness. You choose to separate yourself from the filth and evil that plagues this earth.
You obey laws because they are endorsed by our almighty God.

I, personally, do it so I don't go to jail.

Laws were created to maintain social and economic stability and, in general, to "keep People honest," and you should obey these laws. They are there to protect you and your neighbor. The real kicker though is implied laws that you have to follow that aren't even technically laws: curfew, paying taxes, stopping at red lights. There is nothing that says you HAVE to follow laws of this nature, but you better watch out if you don't!!!!!

bobbi
We all should obey laws because without them there would be kayos and everyone would do anything that they wanted to and we would not be able to live our lives as we do now. Having laws regulates how we should act but they also give us our freedom to live a safe and productive life style.
