Times are hard, and they spending all this money on pointless movies. Has anyone ever thought about how much it cost to make a movie? You know how many people we could be saving if we just all stopped watching movies, and especially music videos all that money for 3-5min of a bunch off mess.

you watch a kids movie , kids want those toys they see from the movie and thats how we americans profit from movies. we market the movie and get the profit of it. |

the film industry is part of the economy and so it employs a lot of people and spends a fortune into the economy. to slow it down is to squeeze another sector and reduce the industry's spending power.
think of the millions of people invoved (God knows how many people work directly or indirectly for Sony International, the distributor of most of the media works). We need to encourage spending all over the world to get us going again |

Because its huge industry for America. Hollywood movies are, monetarily speaking, the #1 export from this country. If you stopped making movies you would also take away jobs, increasing unemployment. And considering that the movie industry isn't asking for a bailout, there is no reason for them to stop private business. Your suggestion is probably the worst thing Obama could do. |
