Wife says she's leaving can i make her leave sooner, i was told she was leaving this month March 2011 or the latest May 2011, she keeps having people staying when we moved in to this rented property 6 years ago, The wife and landlord took it apont themselfs to allow someone to stay in one our bedrooms and make the kids shre rooms, as rent was high. We had a person stay about 1 year, i be honest i never saw a penny of the rent money, it all went to the wife and she paid the landlord.. Well the wife fell out with some people and they decded to tell the council we had someone staying, the council sent someone around one day and found the woman whowas staying at the time and asked her questions, i was home but was sleeping, so i knew nothink about the council visit untill later that day when the woman told me, To cut a long story short, the woman got scared and did a runner, the council arrest me and took me in for questioning under causion, they asked me many questions which i could not answer, coz i know nothing not even the womans last name, they later had to drop the case coz they could not find where the woman had run off to... If they had found her i could of been arrested snd sent to jail,coz the property is under my name on the contract.. The council later informed us we could have visitors staying but whe would have to inform them and we was not to take any money for rent or for food from any one whom stayed, and tehy could not stay more than 1 week... My wife use to inform the council time to time when people stayed, but recently this last year or so, she keeps having people stay without assking my concent,and im worried that the same thing may happen again, the last people who stayed was ment to be my wifes cousin and wife, which stayed for 2 months,and i realy got annoyed with them staying, they promised me they would be out by a certan day which they thankfully was, i even told them please dont come back, but the last 3 weekends the cousins wife had came around at 1:30am in the morning and let herself in to stay the night, coz the wife has given her the key.. I keep telling the wife to stop letting peolpe stay,as im the one whos name is on the rent contract not her,but she argues about whos paying the bills, the rent, ect,ect (ok im unemployed) but coz she paying for everythink she thinks she can let people stay when ever she wants. This is stressing me out and i realy want my wife to stop letting people stay, better still for my wife to leave ASAP.. We do have 3 children, and i am seeking legal advice on these issues, but would like more advice from other people, im now concidering of asking the council to write a letter to the wife to tell her she not allowed to have anyone stay, but coz the contract is in my name will the council blame me like befor and i just wished the wife will get out of my live NOW,this is just 1 problem we have, many more problems i could list.
