Of course. The First Amendment to the Constitution guarantees free speech.
The line is drawn where there is a clear and present danger (i.e., yelling "Fire!" in a crowded theater), and in cases of slander or libel, and in incitement to violence, or in the commission of crime.
The good news and bad news about free speech is that foolish and hateful speech is protected equally with wise and loving speech. |
