Will I get a stimulus check if I am on SS Disability?

My mother in-law says I won't get it if I am on SS Disability. She said it is only for people who worked in 2008-2009. I don't get SSI...just SS Disability. Please help...I looked at SS.gov but I am not sure if disabled people are included.

To be eligible for the $250 stimulus payment you must meet the following criteria...
1. You must currently be receiving Social Security, SSI payments,Veterans benefits, or Railroad Retirement benefits.
2. You must have been eligible for benefits at any time in Nov. 2008, Dec. 2008, or Jan. 2009. (Those who have been eligible/receiving SSDI benefits during that 3 month time period will also be included and receive a check.)
3. The person receiving SS or SSI must have an address of record of one of the 50 states, District of Columbia, American Samoa, US Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Guam, or Mariana Islands.
All those eligible will be paid by late May, 2009 or no later than the first week in June, 2009. |

Yes.
If you've recieved SSI or SSDI anytime in the last 3 months you will get a one time $250 stimulus payment in May.
from ssa.gov:
Nearly 55 million Social Security and SSI beneficiaries will receive a one-time payment of $250 each. To receive a payment, the beneficiary’s address of record must be in one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, American Samoa, or the Northern Mariana Islands. |
