Will O.J. Simpson be granted an Appeal? and if not, how long will he be in Prison?

Even if he's granted an appeal it won't do him any good. The public wants him in prison. I honestly believe that no matter how many appeals he may win the judge in the case will just find a justification to keep the same sentence. His goose is cooked.

The right to appeal is automatic. He needs only file a notice of appeal within 30 days of being sentenced. If you are asking whether the Nevada Supreme Court will affirm or reverse, it rather depends on what arguments are presented and they won't be presented for several months. An appeal is not a new trial. An appeals court reviews a trial record for legal errors, like errors in the jury instructions or decisions admitting or excluding evidence. As for sentencing, the judge could impose sentences ranging from a couple years to life.

the dude has no more money so he will not get the same kind of representation that he had during his murder trial...thank god. I think the dude will finally get what is coming to him and when he does go to prison, I am sure the boys inside will take care of him.

All i know right now is he was found guilty on all charges and he has a minimum of 15 years in prison.

Probably good grounds for appeal - he couldn't get a fair trial
based based on a biased jury and the public perception that
he was probably guilty of killing Nicole Brown. The sentence should
be pretty long for kidnapping, armed robbery... so he shouldn't
be walking the streets again until he is 90.

Heard a little while ago that the most serious charge against him, the kidnapping charge, carries a MINIMUM of 15 years to a max of Life. Another of the more serious charges carried a MIN. of 5 years. Also heard that the judge that will set his sentence is known as a tough, or strict judge. {applaud here} I'm guessing he will get at least 20 years...if the judge if lenient with him. Hopefully, he'll get life.

As for the appeal, yes, he's entitled to file for one. I'm sure his attorneys will do that. But until the case is overturned on appeal, his bond has been removed, he's been remanded to custody, locked up, in the slammer, until further notice.

I don't see where there are grounds for an appeal other than the jury was all white. He probably will get one though. In the meantime, he is sitting in a nice cell await word.

Yes, I am sure he will be granted an appeal. However, as you can see from the previous answers, he was not only already convicted before the trial ever started, he had to deal with the majority, even NV police, wanting to "get him" though he was found innocent in his murder trial. With that poor attitude, why have a justice system at all? Why not just hang him like they did before we had a system??? I followed the entire trial (both actually) and in this one the judge allowed at least 3 jurors to stay seated that said they felt he was guilty of murder 13 years ago, yet claimed they could separate the two incidents. Right! I agree with his attorney- what OJ did was stupid but it was not kidnapping or even armed robbery. I'd be pretty ticked if someone had stolen my stuff and was selling it for millions too. Only I'd go to the police. OJ couldn't even do that. I saw that when the recording of the NV cop came out saying basically that CA didn't "get him" all of those years ago and they now would, all the while laughing. No one that is alive knows exactly what happened years ago- the jury was not convinced beyond a reasonable doubt so they found him innocent. To presume anyone knows more than that jury is ignorant. I wonder if anyone is aware what a great dad he has been and how much his gown kids now love him? Expecting the verdict, he didn't get angry, etc. He simply said he had worked so hard to put his kids through college and now he would not see them graduate. OJ is highly thought of in the area of Fl he lives in. I hate football and am not an OJ fan, but this is not the type of justice most people could expect.. or is it, with crooked cops, etc? I feel for his kids and yes, even for him as he was convicted in the public eye and by NV before the trial even started.

Of course he will ask, should he be granted one will depend on any errors that may be found by a judge should there be any. The minimum senetence for kidnapping is 15yrs and on another account 10 yrs. He is looking for a life sentence most likely because of his age regardless of how many years he gets. He is also looking to change his name to a female one as he will now become bubba's girlfriend.

I really hope not but i think he will due to the fact that hes OJ not sure if this is true but its a feloney robbery so10-35 years maybe somewhere in that range

He shouldn't be granted an appeal and its really screwed up how he's been excused of robbery before. He could get a life sentence for kidnap.

He won't need an appeal, he'll get a Presidential Pardon on January 20th.
