Is it alcohol? If so, then yes as the legal age for drinking in the UK is 18. Also - is the football field closed? That would be considered trespassing.

You are underage so should not be drinking any alcohol whatsoever. Her brother will be responsible for any problems you cause whilst you are intoxicated and behaving badly. Be a good girl and don't drink, bad for you anyway.

Yes it would be illegal. and noone can tell you what decisions to make in life, we can only make you aware of the consequences ... im not going to tell you you shouldnt be drinking at your age cos i was doing the exact same things a few years back. just be sensible and be aware of the hazards of alcohol consumption and the legality of doing so.

Im guessing yes it probably is illegal (that's assuming you live in the US or Canada). As to weather you should go ahead with it well id honestly say no but then i don't agree with drinking. Ive seen its effects on people.

This answer is strictly about the law, im not going to start talking about the moral issue because it's not relevant in response to your question.

Firstly, it is NOT illegal for under 18's to drink in their own homes. If you plan on drinking under-age in a public place, then you are breaking the law.

Secondly, it IS illegal for someone over the age of 18 to buy alcohol for a minor with the intention of drinking it. Basically your dad is breaking the law even though it is consumed at home. It would not be illegal if the alcohol is bought, you stole it from your parents and consumed it without their knowledge.

Thirdly, even if you have not been drinking you will be involved in disorderly conduct, also the police have no reason to take your word if you tell them you have not been drinking as it is likely your friends will do the same. The police will not 'take you' unless you are uncooperative and behave in a disrespectful manner. Remember, don't believe what television and peer pressure say, the police aren't out to get you, if anything they don't want to deal with a bit of under-age drinking as they have too much paperwork these days.

Lastly, if you were to go through with your plan and you get caught, the police are likely to confiscate and/or pour the contents away. They will then likely contact your parents and take you home. A police officer may even Search you and your friends for (for alcohol, matches, drugs, cigarettes etc.) under Section 44 of The Terrorism Act 2000, which gives Constables and PCSOs the right of search.

Worst Case Scenario: You and your friends are taken to the police station to be collected by your parents and are fined Â£500 (if you do not cooperate). Your friends brother is arrested for buying you alcohol and fined Â£1,000.

It is not illegal to drink alcohol, it is merely illegal to purchase it, or attempt to purchase it.

There is no Underage Drinking Act that creates a crime to drink alcohol. The reality is that the Police would take the alcohol away from you, take all of your names and addresses down and inform your parents. Your details would remain in the Police Officer's notebook even if nothing happens to you. I wouldn't like that personally.

Also, contrary to many answers here, it is not true to say that drinking in a public place is illegal. Some towns and cities have alcohol exclusion zones but they vary from place to place and are brought in by local byelaws. You'd have to check whether such a byelaw exists in your area. Given your age, your parents would be liable to pay the fine you receive.

Those are the facts. Make your choice as you see it best, but bear all potential consequences in mind.

The police woudln't "take" any of you. They'd dump out whatever was left of it, possibly write you tickets (that your parents would be responsible for paying) and possibly tell your parents. We don't have WKD here in Ontario, but from my understanding, it's a low percentage cooler, so it's not like any of you are even going to get drunk off of a bottle.

I'm assuming we are talking alcohol here? Yes it would be illegal, because you are all under age and also drinking in public is also an offence in its own right, no matter what your age. In other words, if you get caught, you'll be in deep trouble and so will whoever bought it for you guys.

yes its illegal. your friend who buys it for you could get into trouble and so coulod your dad, but just cos somthing is illegal dont make it wrong. the government in this country need to get their act together and start educating their people.

if you drink sensibly, dont get into trouble and use bins for your bottles and dont drink more than you would have with your dad then tere is no harm done.

ps tell your dad what you up to as honesty can go a long way, and er don get caught by the old bill cos they see a kid with a bottle of wkd and they see trouble and start asking questions and probly take you home.
