No. I refuse to buy cigarettes for my mom and she's 52. I'm not contributing to her bad habit. |

No I wouldn't, when you see what smoking does to people, we need to discourage the youngsters, not encourage them. |

No I wouldn't. I would be encouraging my brother to quit. |

And help kill them? No. |

It use to be fine, but now it is not- so don't! Instead, why dont you buy him nicotine patches? Smoking can and will kill your brother- but instead of taking a quick and painless death he may have when he has lived a full life, he is killing himself every day. What kind of brother lets him, or even helps him, do that? |

Honestly,I wouldn't recommend it! My mother gave into me when I was a teenager and bought me cigarettes all the time and I really wish she would have put her foot down and maybe it would have forced me to not smoke! |

Richard
 |
No i would not, some kids who hang out near the shops where i live keep asking me to buy them cigarettes and i always refuse !. |
|

Emma

No. I wouldn't buy cigarettes for anyone- same as I wouldn't buy smack for anyone, regardless of age. |

Sorry!whether it is legal or not stop buying cigar for people younger than you.You are old enough to know what is good or bad. |

I wouldn't. I live in Ireland too and always get stopped by teenagers and asked to go and buy then smokes and drink. I tell them to **** off because if they get into trouble and tell their ma or da that I got the stuff for them then I get into a load of s**t for it |

If the law was changed, the old law was replaced with a new law. You broke the new law. Just because something use to be does not mean it is still okay. |

It was legal in Ontario, Canada to start smoking at age 16 (when I started); now it's bumped up to 19.
I won't buy cigs, nor liquor, for under-agers because of the 11th Commandment: Thou shalt not get caught.
To answer your point: I remember when 21 was the legal drinking age; knocked it down to 18 (when I started - legally); a year later, the booted up to 19.
I thought it unfair that friends of mine, who were a few months younger than I was - who could drink before, weren't allowed to drink in public places nor buy liquor. So...the same goes for cigs. |

If I don't buy cigarettes for myself, there is no way I am buying for a 16 year old. Or anyone under age. |

No, as I would be breaking the law. Also, people should be encouraged more to stop smoking as it is a filthy stinky habit. |

Difficult question. I think I would buy less than they want at first, then I'd start buying them patches after a while. I smoke too much and started when I was 13. I wish someone had done me the favour of helping me stop at a young age, when it would've been easier.
I would only do that for a relation. If it was someone else's kid they can go without. |

I smoke, but I don't condone underage smoking or breaking the law. |

Kaleoopono

No. First of all, it is illegal which already makes it wrong. Second of all, the dangers of smoking are obvious and helping a kid to start killing himself at such an early age is wrong. |

Nope, if someone wants to put that stuff in them to help kill them they can do it alone. I wouldnt hit someone on the head to kill them so i wouldnt buy cigarettes either. |
