Yes. Sure pot heads have low motivation, but pot is less harmful to the body, and drunks are a lot more dangerous to others. I've never seen a stoned kid get into a fist fight, beat his wife, or kill someone with his car. |

Disregarding the legal issues, I don't see a real difference.
Being addicted to any substance is detrimental to the addict and those around him/her.

I don't think that alcoholics or potheads are bad people, since they don't hurt anyone, if that's what you're saying.
But being an alcoholic is worse than being a pothead. Many people die every year from alcohol poisoning. Marijuana has never killed anyone in the 5000 years it has been used. You are more likely to get in a car accident while drunk than you are high. Alcohol is much more addictive than marijuana. Alcohol can cause some people to be violent, while marijuana makes people feel relaxed. |
