Yesterday, I forgot my licence at home and police oficer stoped me and gave me a ticket. What should I do now?

Go to court and take your license with you. The judge will probably dismiss or reduce fine. You will have to admit you did not have your license and the law is this, you are to carry your license at all times.*

you need to pay the ticket and get over it. you are not supposed to be driving without it. plain and simple.

Find out where you need to go to show your license and have the ticket dismissed.

Ask for a hearing and present you license to the administrator. It won't get everything dismissed but it will get your fine reduced (because you are required to have a license at all times when you are driving).

where im from we just have to bring our license to the police station. Show proof within 72 hours and then its dropped i think, but always drive with it

Usually if you go to court and explain to the judge that you were stopped and that you had left your license at home and show him your license they drop the charges.

Failure to display identification is a valid ticket. You can not pay it and go to court and hope the officer does not show up. That is your only option besides paying the fine.

I was in court a few days ago and saw quite a few people go in front the judge with a "driving without a license" charge some of which just forgot their purse or wallet. The judge asked to see their license and after viewing it dropped the ticket and ordered the person to pay a $35 court cost. But that can vary in each state, or court.

At home is without. pay the fine. Your license must be with you or you don't have it.

well, where i live. we dont even need our license to drive. all we need to know is our SSN and the police can look it up that way.

if i were you, i would take my license to court and explain to them why you didnt have it. they should drop the charges
